In recent months, the Buckingham Palace gardens have been opened to the public, inside which there is a special ornament;
the Vessel of Waterloo.
An urn of 4.6 meters born from a single block of Carrara marble, chosen by Napoleon himself.
After the French army’s defeat in Waterloo, the urn was donated by the Grand Duke of Tuscany to the Prince Regent through the British ambassador.
It was completed and decorated thanks to the sculptor Richard Westmacott.
