The statue depicting the “Sincerity” present in the Sansevero Chapel Museum was sculpted by Francesco Queirolo between 1754 and 1755 and was dedicated by Raimondo Di Sangro to his wife Carlotta Gaetani Also in this case, as for some other statues, Queirolo worked on a Corradini’s sketch, creating a woman wrapped in a robe who holds a heart in her left hand, a symbol of love and charity, and in her right a caduceus (a stick wrapped between two snakes), a symbol of peace and reason.
