A young woman, where her most classic naked beauty emerges from the marble veil that covers her.

Modesty, is a monument by Antonio Corradini, which inside the Sansevero Chapel, gives an artistic excellence together with the other sister works. With elegance and naturalness, Corradini reaches a very high degree of perfection in modeling the veil placed on the woman’s body.

It almost seems that the humidity exhaled from the incense burner contributes to making the veil moist and adherent to the woman’s skin.

The Sculpture, born around 1752, was strongly desired by Raimondo di Sangro, is dedicated to the latter’s mother, who died prematurely.
