Hercules and the Centaur Nessus is a sculptural group by the artist Giambologna.
This work that recalls the eternal struggle between good and evil, the love that wins over injustice, is now visible, after various movements over the years, in the Lanzi loggia in Piazza della Signoria in Florence.
The sculpture is characterized by the great plastic force expressed by the powerful, almost elastic, torsion of the body of the centaur Nessus, bent by the force of Hercules.
