Many are the artists, who for their works have preferred the Carrara marble.
Among them also Antonio Canova, sculptor and author of many works, among which one of the best known the three graces.
Commissioned by Giuseppina di Beauharnais, around 1812, Canova created this sculptural group, inspired by the mythology of the daughters of Zeus, Aglaia, Eufrosine and Talai who represented splendor, joy and prosperity in the world.
